Handok Wins Minister of Science and ICT Award as Top Project in 2025 MyData Infrastructure Program

Handok participated as a consortium member in the project “Personalized Health Management Service Utilizing Chronic Disease Community,” led by Dr. Diary. The initiative builds a service environment that supports continuous health management based on glucose data from Handok’s Barozen Fit continuous glucose monitoring system.

Handok announced that the project “Personalized Health Management Service Utilizing Chronic Disease Community,” in which it participated as part of a consortium, was selected as the top project in the 2025 MyData Infrastructure Program and received the Minister of Science and ICT Award. The program is organized by the Ministry of Science and ICT and executed by the Korea Data Agency. The project was led by Dr. Diary Co., Ltd. (CEO Je-yoon Song), with consortium partners including Handok, the Korea Type 1 Diabetes Association, and the Catholic University Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation.

The project implements a community-based healthcare service that integrates and manages personal health data while allowing users to control data usage decisions. Users can manage continuous glucose monitoring, diet, and exercise data in one place and share experiences with other community members to encourage sustainable lifestyle improvements. The service incorporates core MyData features such as easy consent, selective data sharing, and personal data download.

In this project, Handok linked and provided glucose data from its Barozen Fit CGM via API to the MyData system, enabling users to understand their health status and maintain consistent health management. The Catholic University Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation offered professional consultation through medical Q&A and health content, while the Korea Type 1 Diabetes Association contributed by recruiting participants and operating a self-help network to establish a community-based participation structure.

Chairman Youngjin Kim of Handok stated:
“This project confirmed that Handok’s digital healthcare solutions, including Barozen Fit, can be effectively utilized in a MyData environment. We will continue to expand patient-centered digital healthcare initiatives through collaboration with diverse partners.”
