Handok’s drug brand Ketotop (component: Ketoprofen) is Korea’s leading treatment for muscle pain and rheumatism. The company plans to host the Painless Ketotop & Painless Korea Campaign to build a country without pain.

The Campaign was designed to support firefighters who must bear physical exhaustion and often pain to ensure others’ safety. It is especially significant with the ongoing spread of Covid-19 this year and a higher occurrence of disasters, such as record rates of downpours and large fires.

As part of the Campaign, Ketotop will manufacture upcycled goods using equipment that was actually used by firefighters in controlling fires and in their emergency relief activities. This includes a pouch made from a hose that was used to control fires, and two types of mask straps made with firefighting gear worn by firefighters while working on the field. The upcycled goods will be sold on the crowd funding website Wadiz (www.wadiz.kr). The sales goals are 500 mask straps at KRW 11,900 each and 200 pouches at KRW 45,000 each. Wadiz funding will last from December 10 until 21, and all sales profits will be donated to the Bestian Foundation (President Soo-jin Seol) to treat and assist patients with fire burns. The Bestian Foundation utilizes donations from the sale of Ketotop goods to treat firefighters’ injuries from their missions.
