Tasty hangover cure ‘Ready-Q’ poised for global sales

After getting the attention of Chinese visitors as a Hallyu product last year, Handok Inc’s delicious hangover cure Ready-Q is poised for launching into overseas markets.

Handok Inc. revealed that ‘Ready-Q’ received positive feedback from local buyers at the ‘Korea Brand & Entertainment Expo (KBEE) 2017, Jakarta’ held in Indonesia and that the company is planning to attend evermore overseas export events, including the ‘KBEE 2017, Ho Chi Minh’ in Vietnam on the 10th of this month and the ’25th China International Gift and Home Product Fair’ in Shenzhen, China from the 20th.

‘KBEE 2017, Jakarta’ is an export marketing exhibition organized by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy and KOTRA that combines the popularity of the Korean Wave with consumer goods promotion. Following Taiwan in June and Hong Kong in July, this is already the third exhibition held this year. The two-day event (4th to 5th of July) featured one-on-one export counseling, a Korean Wave ambassador concert and product experience events.

Handok Inc. participated with the aim of entering the broader Southeast Asian market including China. Throughout the exhibition, Handok Inc. held various marketing activities, such as a photo shoot with Korean Wave star, Song Ji-hyo, product promotion with local Multi Channel Network (MCN) power bloggers, and local social contribution activities after which the company received positive feedback from local Indonesian buyers.

Additionally, Handok Inc. is planning to attend the ’25th China International Gift and Home Product Fair’ which will go on for four days starting from the 20th. Sponsored by the China Gift Industry Association it is China’s largest comprehensive consumer goods fair which attracts more than 100,000 buyers every year. The fair is held in Shenzhen, a major international trade city of Guangdong Province that serves as a major center for mainland China, Hong Kong and Macao, and is considered a key venue that provides opportunities for companies to meet major buyers in China for contracts.

In particular, Handok Inc. is now ready to directly export Ready-Q-Chu throughout the Chinese mainland as it has recently completed registration for Chinese customs, immigration and quarantine (CIQ) permits. By gaining official permission for direct export through buyers the company plans to accelerate its entry into the Chinese market starting with this fair.

In addition, the company will be attending ‘KBEE 2017, Ho Chi Minh’ in Vietnam on October 10 where it will actively inform foreign buyers of the differentiated attributes of Ready-Q, which has shattered stereotypes of taste and formulations for hangover cures and as a result has been leading the trend of the domestic hangover cure market.
